We’ve got something shiny and exciting to share with you… StarGems are coming soon!
⭐ What are StarGems?
StarGems are a new currency that you purchase from our Webstore, and then spend in-game any time you want to unlock rewards, perks and items (eg. purchase reward keys, additional homes, etc).
Think of them a bit like vouchers. You buy a bundle of StarGems, then choose what to spend them on while you’re playing. It’s more flexible, easier to use, and gives you the power to pick what you want, when you want.
🚨⚠️ There will also be an entirely new webstore system (it will have the same address) to replace our current Tebex/Buycraft store.. and this will sell directly in AUD currency 🎉 The new store will be an entirely new system so be aware there might be some initial bugs/teething issues with it when it’s launched.. but we will do our best to ensure it works!
💡 Why are we adding StarGems?
We know new systems can sometimes feel a bit… suspicious.
But we want to be super clear: This isn’t about making more money, it’s about making things easier (for us and for you) and giving you more fun/worthwhile ways to support the server!
Right now, every single item on our store takes a tonne of work to set up. Creating graphics, descriptions, coding, in-game hooks, etc.. and that often stops us from adding new items at all. Sometimes, we skip great ideas just because it’s too much effort for something that might not sell.
With StarGems, you will use NPC menus (or commands in-game) meaning you can browse and redeem directly while playing, and we can offer way more stuff without the webstore bottleneck.
🛍️ What can you do with StarGems?
Upon the launch (coming soon), you’ll be able to purchase StarGems from our store and use them in-game to obtain everything that is available on the current webstore (reward keys, vaults, armour, tools, weapons, etc).
We will slowly introduce many new options for purchasing a variety of in-game items/benefits that we weren’t able to support before!

AddstarMC is proudly Aussie, proudly family-friendly, and proudly community-focused. We started the server to create a safe and fun place for our own kids in 2012, and still have the same family-friendly focus/values we had back then!
We aren’t here to make a profit (in fact some months we don’t even cover our costs) but this new system will help us stay online and continue providing an amazing Minecraft experience, while giving you more control over how and when you support the server ❤️
