After enduring a very long delay (thank you for being so patient!), Minecraft 1.21 is finally coming to Survival! This update brings a lot of new features, bug fixes, and the usual “wait, was this always like that?” moments, we’re happy to say the upgrade is finally looking smooth, safe, and mostly problem-free!
Of course, there may still be a few minor issues so we ask that you immediately report any bugs/problems you find, and as always, please be patient ❤️
If you’ve been keeping up with our earlier Slimefun post and the chatter on discord, you would know that the future of Slimefun was seriously in doubt. We’ve been searching for community-made updates, testing independent versions, double-checking, poking things with virtual sticks, and figuring out which way we should go. Rest assured Slimefun isn’t going anywhere just yet. It remains a strong, core part of the AddstarMC Survival experience.
🥳 Let’s get straight to the good stuff
- The Survival server will be fully upgraded to 1.21.10
- No build world reset! Your builds, farms and mega-projects are exactly where you left them.
- Resource worlds will be reset and fully generated in 1.21.10: You’ll immediately get fresh land to explore and all the new features you’ve been desperately wanting (pale oak anyone???)
- Slimefun continues to live! There’s probably still a few minor issues but the vast majority of it is still all working perfectly. Please report any issues you find.
⏰ So when is this happening?
This is a major upgrade operation, so we can’t be sure how long this will take to complete. Please be patient, sometimes the hamsters fall off the wheel and refuse to get back on!
- Survival shutdown for maintenance: 21 Nov 2025 @ 10:00 (server time)
- Estimated minimum downtime: At least 6 hours (will be announced on discord when open)
So keep building, exploring, farming, crafting gadgets, and doing whatever questionable things you do with pistons. Enjoy the excitement of a new version without losing your world!
