Have you ever browsed the market and noticed shops with sky-high prices that haven’t moved in months? Their owner has logged off ages ago, leaving their shops and prices frozen in time. We call them Zombie shops… and we’ve developed the cure!
Starting today, sell shops owned by players who have not played in over 90 days will now slowly have their prices discounted automatically.
Each day, shops selling items from these players will reduce their prices by 2%. The reduction is based on the current price, so a shop that started at $100 will go: $100 -> $98 -> $96.04 -> $94.12 over time. As soon as an owner returns, the reduction stops, and their countdown resets. We’ll also send you a heads up letting you know that some of your prices were changed whilst you were away.
If you have popped on to the server anytime within the last 90-days your shops will stay as is, and you don’t need to do anything! This change will help to reduce the number of old abandoned shops, which are still full, but stuck at old prices from “back in the day”.
The system is now live across all market worlds, so over the coming weeks the oldest zombie shops will slowly drift back to less-crazy prices. If you notice any issues, or have any queries – please feel free to pop in a /ticket in game, or ask away in the Discord!
